Assistant Stylist
Our Assistant Program is a 39–52 week paid mentorship designed to build your skills, confidence, and business foundation for a thriving career behind the chair.
As an assistant, you’ll work 1–2 days per week closely alongside Jenn and our team, observing every step of the client experience — from consultations to finishes. Your hands-on responsibilities will include shampooing, toning, styling, mixing and applying color, and helping maintain a clean, polished salon environment.
As your skills grow, you'll gradually transition to working on the floor 1–3 days per week with your own clients, while continuing to strengthen your technical abilities and marketing strategies.
After completing the program, you’ll have the opportunity to stay with HB Collective as either an hourly stylist or rental stylist, launching your career with the support of a collaborative and growth-minded salon.
Starting Rate $16.50 per hour + tips
Employee Stylist
At HB Collective, we offer a unique opportunity to build a thriving behind-the-chair career with full support, structure, and growth potential. As an employee (not an independent renter), you'll receive a steady hourly wage, so you can focus fully on perfecting your craft and growing your clientele without the extra stress of running your own business.
You'll also receive new client referrals from the salon to help you quickly build your client list, while learning how to attract and retain your own loyal clientele over time. As your service sales grow, your hourly pay can increase too — rewarding you for the success you create.
All color and salon supplies are provided, allowing you to deliver amazing results without any overhead costs.
Plus, you'll benefit from ongoing mentorship, education, business coaching, and hands-on support designed to help you sharpen your skills, elevate your client experience, and confidently build a long-term, sustainable career.

Rental Stylist
At HB Collective, we believe in offering more than just a chair — we offer a true home for your business to grow and thrive. As a Rental Stylist, you'll have access to incredible amenities and ongoing support designed to make your career feel effortless and rewarding.
Our rental package includes:

We'll schedule an in-person interview to get to know each other better, tour the salon, meet the team and explore whether HB Collective is the right fit for your goals.

Spend a day in the salon either working on clients or observing our team in action. You'll get a feel for the vibe, the space, ask questions, and experience what it's like to be part of the HB Collective team.
